Experience Yana, the way I see her. Her childlike wonder and whimsical, nature-inspired spirit became the foundation of this oil painting. To capture her enchanting beauty and resilient character, we created the underpainting together, using branches for expressive textural mark-making and casting the shadows of trees outside the art studio where we first met. These traces of nature remain woven into the work, reflecting the essence of her spirit.
